The Keeper of the Plains

The 44 ft Keeper of the Plains monument stands at the confluence of the Big and Little Arkansas Rivers with hands raised in supplication to the Great Spirit. Prairie Sunset Trail

Hike, jog, or bike the Prairie Sunset Trail – a public trail for walking, jogging and bicycling created by the Rails to Trails initiative. The trail spans 15 miles from Garden Plain through Goddard and continues to South Hoover Road in Wichita. It is a recreational trail for all ages to enjoy and a platform for children to learn about the wonders of the Kansas outdoors!
